Rev. William Hagans, Pastor.
Rev. William Hagans is married to Evon Hagans for twenty years. Together they have three children and seven grandchildren. He was raised in the community of Snow Hill, N. C. and graduated from Greene Central High School in 1972. He attended Pitt Community College for auto mechanics. He is now employed at Lenoir Memorial Hospital as a floor tech in the operating room.
Rev. Hagans says, "I was called by God to preach in 2002 and did my trial sermon at my home church, St. James A. M. E. Zion Church, Snow Hill, N. C. I completed my 1st and 2nd year studies under Dr. Dwight Cannon and 3rd and 4th year studies under Rev. J. W. Brill. I pastored at Pyatts Chapel A. M. E. Zion Church, Elm City, N. C. for two years and nine months, at Moore's Chapel A. M. E. Zion Church, LaGrange, N. C. for seven years and now I am pastoring at New Elders Chapel A. M. E. Zion Church, Magnolia, N. C."
We would like to CONGRATULATE our First Lady, Sis. Evon Hagans for arts and crafts for Duplin County, she won 1st place with her origami swan, she also won 1st place in regional and 2nd place for state. we are so very proud of her.
We also would like to thank Sis. Eloise Coston for entering the swan into competition.

Samirya and Damiry are the children of Ms. Sherry Carter and grandchildren of New Elders Chapel Conference Evangelist Bertha Battle. Samirya and Damiry made the A honor roll and we are so very proud of them. During service, when called upon they do there very best. They are kind, respectful, energetic, hard workers and very smart. We, the pastor and church family CONGRATULATE them for a job well done, keep up the good work, for both of you, are truly a blessing to our church.
Also, we, the pastor and members of New Elders Chapel are proud to share with all, our heartfelt CONGRATULATIONS to Chastity Robinson, the granddaughter of Mrs. Marguerite Robinson. Chastity is a seventh grade student at E. E. Smith Middle School, Kenansville, N. C. She was one of the winners of the Victor E. Bell, Jr. Scholarship Program. Chastity's hard work and devotion to her studies have earned her a scholarship with the maximum value of $20,000. This program will contribute to a special college savings account $2,000 a year from now through her fourth year of college. Great job! Chastity
